you will need to install a launcher or icon changer app. there are tons of these stuff on Playstore! and what you want to use depends very much on your taste. the way to change your icons will also be different for each app.
here i'll show you how i do it on my Samsung phone with Nova Launcher (this is by no means the best app out there, idk lol i just picked this one and never tried any other app)
Note: nova launcher (and probably most android apps) allow transparent image for the icons so i always use the transparent png icons. In my wallpaper sets these icons are usually inside the folder named "PNG (MAC)" (if it's a patreon bundle, this folder will be inside "DESKTOP" and not phone).
★ first, make sure you enable nova launcher as the default home app (click home button, select nova launcher and choose "always")
★ long press an app on your home screen, then press the pencil button
★ click the icon image
★ this is kinda annoying but basically we want to locate the image file
★ select the image file you want to use
★ and done
we'll be using the app Widgetsmith here
★ first with a blank canvas, click the + on the upper left corner
★ type Widgetsmith
★ choose small, medium, or large. here i chose small.
★ select the image you want to use, and it will appear like this!
2. ICONS (shortcuts)
we'll be using the Shortcuts app here
★ type "shortcuts" in the search bar & select the app
★ click + on the upper right corner to add a new shortcut
★ click "add action"
★ choose "scripting"
★ click "open app"
★ click "choose" and pick the app you want to make a shortcut of
★ after choosing the app, click the three dots on the upper right corner
★ click "add to homescreen"
★ rename the shortcut as you wish
★ click on the icon & choose the image you want.
then click "add" on the upper right corner
★ you'll see it as a new shortcut on the app and it will also appear on your home!
